Who is Taytay?

Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, United States. She is known as a pop and country music singer-songwriter. Her career started at 14 when she signed with Sony as a songwriter. During one of her performances in Nashville, Scott Borchetta (a record executive) noticed her. After that, Scott signed her to his Big Machine label, and she released her first single in 2006 called "Tim McGraw". Her first single was a hit, and throughout her career, Taylor released ten albums, ranging from country, pop, indie and alternative rock genres. She released her albums Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red and 1989 between 2006 and 2014. During these years, she built an enormous fanbase and received massive criticism.

One of the huge stories was her ten-year on-and-off feud with Kanye West. During 2016 and 2017, Taylor disappeared from the public eye, quoting, "Nobody physically saw me for a year, and that's what I thought they wanted". In her Miss Americana documentary, Taylor said, "A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled, is a very isolating experience". After that, in 2017, she released her album called Reputation. In her single, Look What You Made Me Do, Taylor sings, "the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, 'cause she's dead", implying she is much stronger than she was and will not let the rumours impact her negatively.

After her hit album, Reputation, Taylor released Lover, Folklore and Evermore between 2019 and 2020. Folklore and Evermore were released during COVID-19. Taylor wrote, "It feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music", "We chose to wander deeper in". That is how she wrote the sequel of Folklore, Evermore.

In 2021 she started releasing her re-recorded albums, starting with Fearless (Taylor's Version). In an interview with Seth Meyers, Taylor explained why she is re-recording all her albums and said, "when something says in parenthesis Taylor's version next to it, that means I own it". The re-recordings are a huge success, but that does not stop her from writing more albums. In 2022, she released Midnights. Now, all she has left is to release 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27, 2023, Reputation (Taylor's Version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version). All the fans are excited about the final two albums since they portray that Taylor will be taking back her reputation and name.
